Welcome to NAWIC and Region 8. If you are not familiar with NAWIC and all the exciting and educational things that we do, and you are a woman in the construction industry, you need to contact us.

The purpose of NAWIC is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry. To do this we believe in ourselves as women, persevere with the strength of our convictions, and dare to move into new horizons.

As you visit our website, I hope you get a clear understanding of what it is we do. Our region covers the states of Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and West Texas. For more information on NAWIC or any of the upcoming events, please feel free to contact me for assistance.

Current Issues:    
     
  At the Region 8 Forum 2008, held in Colorado Springs, CO on April 25-26, Linda Champlin-Frank, CIT, was elected as the new Region 8 Director for 2008-2010. Linda will be installed at the NAWIC Annual Meeting and Convention in September in Las Vegas, Nevada.  
         
  At convention, Helen Adams, CIT, of the Tucson Chapter 122, was awarded the Darline H. Johnson Volunteer Achievement Award. Congratulations, Helen! Helen's comments can be read here.  
     
  Also, at convention, Wendy Hibbert, of the Colorado Springs Chapter 356, was named NAWIC Tradeswoman of the Year! Check out the Construction Careers in Colorado article.
